Why We Built a Shop That Drives to You
Rapid Roadside Repair Inc. exists because of a simple observation: the truck almost never breaks down somewhere convenient.
One of our owners learned the trade from his father, who taught him everything he knew about engines. What the son figured out early was that he did not want to spend a career on one kind of machine. He liked the variety — a semi one morning, a combine that afternoon, a dump truck the next day. That range is now the whole shape of this company.
Every hour a rig sits still costs somebody money, and every hour a tractor sits idle during harvest costs somebody a crop. Waiting on a tow, then a shop queue, turns a short repair into a long week. So we went the other direction and put the tools in the truck instead. What keeps him doing it is not complicated: he likes pulling up to somebody stranded on the shoulder and watching the relief show up on their face.

Who Turns the Wrenches
Sixty-Five Years Between Two Owners
One owner has fifteen years in the trade. The other has fifty. Both of them still go out on calls.
Fifty years of diesel work means having already seen the failure you are looking at. Fifteen years means being current on the electronics and aftertreatment systems that did not exist for most of those fifty. Between the two, very little that rolls down I-44 or works a field around here is unfamiliar.
We work on Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Volvo and Mack on the road side, and John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Mahindra and Kioti on the equipment side. If it hauls freight or works ground in south central Missouri, we have most likely had our hands in one.
